Bowmont Golf and Curling Club
Mixed recreational league formed over 30 years ago with a focus on "social" as opposed to competition.
Openings:
Currently full but always looking for a few new members in any position with a need to fill our spare list as well.
Mix of Players:
Median age is 40+, very mixed league with couples, parents, kids and singles.
Format:
Names drawn two weeks prior to the start of the 18 game season.

Rookies Plus Curling League
Non-competitive mixed league formed in 1983 as a beginner's league to learn about curling in a non-competitive enviroment and to practice curling skills learned in offered curling lessons.
Openings:
New curlers 18+ welome.
Mix of Players:
Teams selected to mix identified tears of curling/experience to have new and more experienced curlers on a team. We endeavour to make the team mix 2 women and 2 men.
Format:
Teams scheduled to play all other teams at least once. Winners are awarded 5 points, losers 1 point. Recognition is for highest point, lowest point and middle points teams. Playoff format takes place when and if needed at end of season.

583 Curling Club
Non-competitive open recreational league formed over 50 years ago with novice to experienced players. Dues include 2 delicious wind-up banquets - Christmas banquet includes a team draw for a turkey.
Openings:
We have room for about 6 teams or 24 people.
Mix of Players:
We encourage mixed teams but this is an open league.
Format:
We have an A and a B side. A is for the experienced teams and B is reserved for the more novice teams. We play two 7-game round robins with 2 funspiels to wind up each half.

Calgary Clergy Curling Club
Fun, competitive open league provides an opportunity for clergy in and around Calgary to join together for a time of fellowship and competition on the curling ice.
Openings:
We are looking for more players. Must be willing to put up wit occasional sermons. Skip of each team must be clergy.
Mix of Players:
Both retired and active clergy as well as lay people from local church congregations - open to both men and women.
Format:
Fall and spring sessions as well as fun and copetitive bonspiels at the end of the season.

Calgary Ladies Curling Club
Friendly, social league started in 1920 to promote fellowship and sportsmanship within the Club through various levels of league play, social activities and participation in other curling events. Options to curl one or both days - there's always time to socialize with a cup of coffee and still manage to beat rush hour traffic.
Openings:
Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come, first paid basis. If unable to commit to every week, we have the option to register as a spare or rover. Reasonable league fees.
Mix of Players:
Ladies of all ages with varying curling skills and experience.
Format:
Depending on the number of teams on each day, a seeding round may be used to establish team placements in the A or B division. The draw schedule is normally a round robin format.

Calgary District Dental Society (CDDS) Curling League
25 years at the CCC! This is a "fun" league with all levels of curling skills to promote professional fellowship and comaraderie.
Openings:
We are open to new members with a similar playing philosophy. We currently have 14 - 15 teams (variable) and are working on forming a 16th team. We do not know our exact number of teams until a week before the starting date.
Mix of Players:
Dentists, staff, family and friends.
Format:
* 14 regular season dates (excluding stat. holidays) starting the 1st Monday in October and wrapping up in mid March. *6 play-off dates, with 2 banquets: Christmas and final date.

Oil Service League
Very social league started in 1981 to attract clients in the Oil and Gas sector.
Openings:
Always full as not many teams drop out and we have have a list of players that come out to spare. Each team has two spares at all tmes.
Mix of Players:
Service Companies sponsoring teams consisting of Oil Company clients.
Format:
All 16 teams play each other once per season.

30 years at the C.C.C., this is a recreational league with a mix from beginner teams to some very good teams.

Teams or players, any size or gender.
Format:
Round robin play, playoffs at the end of the season.

Small Five
For 30+ years Small Five has provided an opportunity for adults to meet new friends and hone curling skills in a fun, competitive and social atmosphere.
Openings:
Full time positions sometimes become available. Spares welcome to join the spare list.
Mix of Players:
Mixed adult male and female.
Format:
Players chose prefered position(s). Teams are choosen radomly with no requests for specific teammates permitted. Couples do not play on the same team.
